Warren and Lil have a short meeting at the party. Lil is increasingly unimpressed with the winged dude.

Okay, how had Warren missed the tall, hot girl?

Wait, no. She was familiar. She just looked different tonight. Not because he was drunk. But she was dressed for a party. Smiling, sipping on his drink, Warren approached. "Hey there. We haven't met yet--not properly. I'm Warren." He held out his free hand.

Lil knew Warren, sort of. He was hard to miss with those wings, and he was supposed to be well-known outside the school. He was also a very pretty boy if you liked that sort. Lil didn't care one way or the other, but she took his hand anyway. She was here to socialize, right? Had to make Tamara proud.

"I'm Lil. I've seen you around."

“The wings are hard to miss,” Warren said with an easy smile, then gave a little squeeze before he let her go. “How are you settling in? Like the place so far?”

The boy'd been drinking something; Lil could smell it. Maybe he wasn't drunk yet, she didn't know, but in her experience eyes and hands tended to wander when liquor was involved so she smiled and took a polite step back. Then crossed her arms in front her chest. Damn shirt. "I don't mind it so much yet. Didn't know what to expect at first. " She nodded at the activity around them. "Definitely not shit like this."

“Yeah, we know how to do the party thing.” Warren hadn’t been looking at her chest until she crossed her arms, then he glanced down. Was she cold? He could offer his jacket, but she was taller than him, and then there was the problem of the giant wing-holes. He lifted his gaze again, making a worried face. “Not your scene? Or are you just taking a wallflower break?”

Lil shrugged. "I don't know about scenes, it's just different from what I know. Like, if I ever saw a party like this, it was on TV."

"What are parties like where you're from?" Warren asked, all curiosity. "Also, where are you from? That might help, too. Heh. Sorry, asking questions backwards."

"Eh, the parties are the normal shit like, someone's back room and a bunch of drinking. Not me, not the drinking part, but that was pretty much it." And Lil occupying a seat on a broken sofa until someone started trouble. Come to think of it, she'd never really partied so much as just hung out on the edges. "And I'm from Yellowknife, up north."

"I mean, 'normal shit' is relative," Warren said with a smile and then a chug of his drink, throat contracting several times in rapid succession as he downed a fair amount at once. Then, as if he hadn't interrupted himself, he went on with, "I've never been to a party like that. Sorta been to ones like this--but mostly just the Shinobi bits. Because Shinobi."

"Because Shinobi," Lil repeated, as if she understood what the shit he meant. "Well, you haven't missed out. There's not much to 'em." She eyed his drink, wondering exactly what was in it.

He caught the direction of her gaze and thought maybe she was thirsty. "Do you need one? A drink, I mean. Shinobi always has the greatest bar."

"Nope. Not one like yours at least." And definitely not with the added Shinobi commentary.

"Ohhh." It dawned on Warren then, and he ran a hand through his hair and ruffled his feathers, slightly abashed. "I'm doing the drunk frat boy thing, huh? I walk up to you, you think I'm trying to hit on you, that kind of thing? Sorry!"

Lil snorted. "Hit on me? Don't think so. Besides, you like guys, don't you?" She wasn't so out of the loop that she didn't here things, especially when he was making a big deal out of it in interviews and shit.

"And girls. And all genders." He smiled brightly. "But yes, hit on you. I mean if I didn't already have a boyfriend--two boyfriends--I'd totally hit on you. I'm the worst flirt, seriously. It's chronic."

There was a little too much to process in what he said. Two boyfriends? All genders? Boys and girls? That at least, must be the bi stuff Tamara was trying to tell her about. It explained the flirting though- it sounded like he'd hit on just about anything. She took a step back. "Well, uh, that's all good I guess. Sounds like you have your hands full."

He wasn't sure if she was afraid of the gay, or just of him in general, so he took a step back too. He was too drunk to deal with this right now, that was all he knew. He was gonna end up getting slapped or sending her running--and he was totally not even flirting! "That's one way to put it. Okay, I'm gonna--just, take my bisexual flirty self and go over there." He indicated the other side of the party vaguely. "Have fun, Lil!"

Lil gave him a fake smile and a wave. It was an abrupt end but Lil couldn't pretend she wasn't glad for it. Drunk and weird, not a combination she wanted to deal with tonight. She was thirsty though - time to find the drink table.
