Billy and Jeanne-Marie, Backdated to the party

Billy and Jeanne-Marie are no longer kiss virgins.

Billy was pouring himself his fifth drink and he really needed to stop because this was getting ridiculous, but he really liked how much the alcohol made him not care. Billy took a small sip of his juice as he looked out at the crowd, actually wondering where Tommy was at the moment, he hadn't seen his brother much the whole party.

"Hello!" Jeanne-Marie sidled up to the new boy--the Tommy-looking boy, and there was some kind of twin story there but she had only heard vague things and also had a lot to drink--and bumped his hip with hers. "You're Billy, yes? I'm Jeanne-Marie. I've been meaning to say hello!"

Billy jumped and sloshed his drink over the front of his shirt, frowning because he didn't quite understand what happened when he looked up to see one of the prettiest girls he'd ever met. "Holy shit, man. You're really pretty. I mean, I'm gay but wow."

Jeanne-Marie beamed, grabbing Billy's arm and pulling herself close. "You're so sweet. Thank you, mon cher! You must think my brother is really handsome, then!"

Billy stumbled a little when she pulled him closer, but was able to keep his balance when he had to think about what she was saying. "Your brother....he is..."

Wait. Jean in the name, that probably meant that she was related to the other Jean, Jean-Paul, right? Yes!

"Oh! Your Jean-Paul's sister!" He grinned and nodded. "Yes, he is very good-looking. Good job, your genes!"

Well, since their parents hadn't made it to do much else, it was nice that they'd passed on looks, Jeanne-Marie supposed. Ah well, she'd long since learned to be glad of what she had. "They are rather good. I think he's quite handsome. He's also gay, you know. Though I think he's dating that boy with the wings." Too bad, though; Billy was quite adorable. "Not that just being gay means you should date, but a sister wants the best for her brother."

"Wow! Those were a lot of things you just said for sure." Billy laughed a little, feeling way too much like he needed to lay down but also go run on the track. "No, I know what you mean...about your brother...who is dating Warren. Yeah, that's right."

It was sweet that she wanted to match-make her brother with someone, even though she didn't really know Billy. "You have the makings of a shadchan in your future."

Jeanne-Marie giggled. "I did say a lot of things! Also I don't know what a shadchan is."

Billy waved his hand in the air, like he was trying to call down the information he wanted. "It's...it's a matchmaker...for Jewish peoples. Not a yenta...well yes yenta, cause of Fiddlers."

"Oh!" Jeanne-Marie didn't understand half if that, but presumed she got the gist. Whatever fiddlers had to do with it. "Yes, I see, a Jewish matchmaker! Well, I do love a good romance. What about you?"

Billy had to think about that for a moment, did he like romance? He'd never really had any experience in it, so he couldn't exactly say first hand. He nodded cause it seemed like the easiest motion at the moment and smiled a little at the ground. "I don't know...I don't know much about it in reality, but the idea sounds nice. Finding someone to love for forever sounds very nice."

"It does," Jeanne-Marie said with a sigh. "Shen says that's for when we're thirty. But I think that seems far away."

"Thirty?" Billy squeaked a little bit. "That is a long way away, man. Maybe not love, but I'd at least like to have my first relationship before then!"

He looked up at the stars and let out a small sigh. "I think love can find you at anytime of your life. Either when your small or really old, it doesn't like to be scheduled and it's our jobs to wait for it...if that makes sense?"

He kind of rambled, but he hoped that made as much sense out loud as it did in his head.

"Oh, I think it's perfect!" She declared, swooning a little and leaning into him. "And I think it comes when we aren't looking, too, don't you?"

"Exactly!" He gushed, suddenly talking about romance more than he ever had before and with her closer to him he felt more at ease. "It's like the whole lost item trick. You look and look and look for your lost thing, but you can't find it and become frustrated or upset..."

He glanced down at his hands, the plastic solo cup still in his one and he crunched in between both his hands, cupping the small ball of red plastic between them. His mind was barely focusing on the cup, but he started to smile when his hands started to glow blue.

"But, then you stop looking, focus on other things and forget about the lost thing. Until, suddenly you find it again and it's more beautiful than you remembered."

Billy held out the now rose shaped solo cup to her.

Eyes wide, flushed with excitement, she took it and sighed. "Oh, Billy, that is perfect. You're going to make someone the luckiest boy int he world, you know!"

Billy went red at the compliment and let out a goofy laugh, beaming at her before giving her a bit of an uncoordinated one armed hug. "You will too and before thirty I'm pretty sure."

"Let's hope so. I don't think I have Shen's patience." Jeanne-Marie laughed. "Though I'd settle for a kiss. Have you ever kissed anyone?"

Billy shook his head at her question. "Oh, MJ...sorry mixed up the letters, JM, do I look like the kind of guy who has had a kiss?"

He gave her a pathetic smile. "Nope. I'm a kiss virgin."

Me too," she said with a dramatic sigh. God, she really wished JP wasn't dating that stupid angel; Billy was too cute not to want to set them up. Except that the stupid angel was beautiful and seemed to make him happy. Sighhhh. "I was hoping to find a kiss somewhere tonight, but I don't know where to begin."

Billy pulled his arm away and frowned as he tried to think through every guy he had met in the school. "Is there any one you like?"

He had a hard time thinking that a girl like JM hadn't had her first kiss yet, but maybe she wanted it to be special and not just cause it could happen.

"Mmmm..." Jeanne-Marie scanned the crowd and all her friends, then was forced to admit, "not really. There are friends I suppose might become more someday. Maybe one of them? What about you?"

"Oh, uhh..." Billy mind moved to both Bobby and Warren, but both were taken and one was straight so neither worked. He thought of another blond he liked, but the embarrassment from earlier made him quickly shake his head. "No, I can't think of anyone right now, sadly. He laughed suddenly. "We should be each other's first kiss, both knowing it won't go anywhere, but at least we could say we did it."

It was a joke. A bad one at that. "Sorry."

But Jeanne-Marie gasped with excitement and set aside her drink, then took Billy both the arms. "You're a genius! Come on, let's kiss. We can be practice for each other, so we won't be too nervous--and yes, so we can say we have.

"Should we find a tree..." still holding his upper arms she glanced around curiously.

"Really?" Billy sputtered for a moment when when she took his joke seriously and for a moment had a mini panic attack at the idea. Oh, God. This was a bad ide, but it was also an interesting idea and the four and a half drinks in him told him that this was just fantastic. "Uh, yes? Are trees important to kissing?"

She looked at him quite seriously. "To hide behind. I mean, we could kiss right here, but that might draw attention. Anyhow, I want to concentrate!"

"O-oh! Okay! Yeah! Okay!" Billy glanced around and grabbed her hand, pulling he back towards where the tree were a little more dense, he hadn't even checked if anyone had seen them. He glanced out from behind the tree at the crowd and then turned back to her. "Is this good? I don't know much about kissing trees."

"Me neither," she admitted, going up on her toes to peek over his shoulder "but it seems good to me."

She took a step back and tossed her hair over one shoulder, then cleared her throat, quite prepared for her first kiss. "Right. Let's try this!"

Billy nodded and tried to think about this, how do you go about kissing someone? The movies always made it look so smooth and easy, but he was slightly taller than her so he had to lean down a little. She smelled nice, so that was helpful and when he closed his eyes he could kind of imagine that it wasn't JM.

He moved forward, accidently getting the corner of her mouth at first before he muttered a quick apology and was able to finally find her mouth.

It was...weird.

Jeanne-Marie let out a little giggle when they missed each other's mouths at first. But then when their lips met, she closed her eyes tighter and settled a hand on Billy's chest, then tilted her head a little like in the movies, so their lips slid against each other.

Hmm, that seemed all right. Jeanne-Marie wondered who she'd like to kiss like this. Tommy? No, he'd go too fast. Remy was handsome. Kurt--Kurt seemed like he'd be a good kisser. She focused on Billy again, then closed off the kiss and pulled back an inch, so she could still feel his breath on her lips. "Well?"
He had closed his eyes tighter when he felt her move her head a little, making the kiss much more natural feeling than when he had just pressed their lips together and when she pulled back it took him a moment to open his eyes.

"That was..." Billy tried to think of the best way to describe the kiss. It had been nice, her lips were soft and she had been the one to make it less awkward with moving her head, but it really hadn't done anything which he wasn't surprised about. "It's was good, but please don't take an offense. I am for sure gay, it's been tested now."

A kiss with a girl like Jeanne-Marie would have certainly let him know if he wasn't.

Jeanne-Marie giggled even more then, one hand over her mouth. It felt warm and kind of nice, but not that nice. "And I didn't spontaneously develop a crush on you. We're in the clear--and we've had a kiss, now!" She grinned brightly.

He couldn't help grinning as well at her happy face and he nodded excitedly. "No more virgin kissers! We are experienced veterans!"

He held his hand up for a high-five.

She high-fived him with a resounding smack. "We did it! Let's dance to celebrate!"
