Scott leaned back in his chair, arms over his chest, acutely aware that he could not betray any iota of response, one way or the other. For better or worse, he seemed to have some strange amount of cache as Xavier's first student. Though he had no idea why, and was uncomfortable with it for any number of reasons, that meant he had to hold himself to a certain standard. Any show of dissent here, now, could undermine the Professor's entire plan.
And though Scott had qualms, he wasn't sure undermining his mentor was the right move here. So he stayed silent, instead looking around as people spoke up, whispered, and generally looked taken aback.
