Gilmore lives in the fringes of non-licensed-yet-vaguely-recognizable-as-fan-goods. Yuri doesn't have to actively endorse anything beyond a couple of well-placed re-tweets. Naturally a gentleman's agreement regarding profit-sharing would have to be settled on.
